Our Day in Vancouver
Started our day with a "hearty" breakfast at Tim Hortons. There's a Tim Hortons around here about as often as there are Circle K's in Phoenix, but since we share this joint's namesake we thought we should make sure we visited one. Kinda weird to have your last name all over everything...and it wasn't bad to boot...
Since we didn't rent a car here (and we're glad we didn't), we took an on/off bus tour throughout the city today. The weather was just perfect....completely blue sky and breezy and what a beautiful green and flowery town this is. We could get off the "tour" at any point along the route through all corners of Vancouver, so we jumped off at English Bay, Stanley Park and Gastown --
all unique and interesting places.
Spent a good amount of time at the Vancouver Aquarium in Stanley Park and saw some amazing sights and marveled at how creative our Creator is. Everything is really clean and well-manicured in this town, just as most people have told us. We did put on a lot of walking miles and are pretty pooped.
Tomorrow we board the cruise ship! Our hotel is about 3 blocks away from the place where we board, so we went over late today and watched the activity as a "Celebrity Cruise Lines" ship was boarding and got a little flavor of that. The ship was just HUGE and we thought it must be way bigger than the ship we were going on. We went back to the hotel room later and checked on the internet and it turns out that ship IS bigger than ours -- by 1 foot in length -- so tomorrow should be pretty amazing for us rookie cruisers.
Here are a few more photos from today:

1 Comments:
Vancouver is a beautiful place. More flowers per square foot than most any city in the world I would guess. Enjoyed the "Wildlife in Gastown". Especially the on sruffey looking animal in the blue shirt.
Blessings,
Mike
