Our Cruise Info

One last post before we hit the road in the morning. Thought I'd mention a little bit about the cruise itself. We are booked to sail on the Coral Princess cruise ship with the Princess Cruise line and we set sail on Monday afternoon. Note the "jet engines" mounted to the top of the rear stack on this ship. Can't wait to find out what those are used for!

We will be staying in Vancouver, BC, Canada on Saturday and Sunday nights, so we'll spend Sunday touring that city -- which we are told by everyone we've met that's been there that it's a great place to visit.

The cruise will be a one-way 7-day trip from Vancouver to Anchorage, with stops in Ketchikan, Juneau & Skagway and a trip through "Glacier Bay." At the end of the cruise, we will fly home to Phoenix on Monday the 24th from Anchorage. Here's a "live" bridge cam you can check out any time to see where the ship is at any given moment. Right now as I type this, it is heading southbound from Anchorage to Vancouver to meet us on Monday!

We have our warm clothes packed (pretty strange thing to do when it's 113 degrees here in Phoenix these days) and are just about ready to roll. Next post will most likely be from Vancouver.

...Kevin & Jocelyn

P.S. We are being "bad parents" and missing our son Bryan's production of The Slingshot Heard 'Round The World that he's been working on at church all week. He has a significant part and plays a character named "Go Figure" -- one of the "Go Brothers." If you live in town, be sure to go see the performance at our church on Sunday night! We'll have to satisfy ourselves with seeing it on video....grrr....
